John obviously has forgotten that ALL computers, including PC's, now have an approximate lifespan of 3-5 years.... 5 years from now, the iPod's we'll have will be smaller with much more memory. That said, the iPod is still the best in the market. With online firmware upgrades, any issues are usually resolved pretty quickly. Sound quality is EXCELLENT, and to get 80 GB at this price is a steal in today's market. Don't let the haters fool you.... I am a PC guy myself-- but in this realm, Apple sets the bar.
