Loved the design - under the counter, but it leaked. When I set the timer to come on in the morning, water, and or coffee would be everywhere. Finally my husband made a homemade latch to keep grounds container in place. It worked for a while. Yesterday, no electricity in pot, no coffee, I guess it shorted out. Less than 1 year old.

Black & Decker has always been a good name but, I guess that's all that's left is the name. I bought one of these for my new house, set the timer to get up to about 2 cups, have to turn it off and on about 5 times before i get 5 cups, there is always 2 -3 cups of water left in the reservoir that never gets brewed.

Ours brewed coffee well, didn't leak, and looked good. Had it about 2 months and one morning it just didn't work. We had an old B&D model for over a decade, could not find a new carafe when we broke the old one so decided to get the latest. Too bad.

Should have read the reviews before, I bought this coffee maker. I loved the side mount water container and the coffee was good, but it still leaked when it brewed, had to keep a towel around it. It only lasted about 4 months then just stopped working, the electrical panel went out. Trash, I will not buy one of these again.

Had old model for 9 years, loved it. Bought new one 5 weeks ago, died after 4 weeks, traded it for another one just like it, lasted 6 days & then died. No leaks or other problems, they just died. These new ones are lemons, won't buy another one until improved. Recall these and throw them in the dump!

LEAKS hot coffee and grounds all over the place and the company has NO fix for it . They try to give you a new basket but that is not the problem. It is in the design !! Bring back the OLD one !!!

I received this pot for Christmas of 07, it is now 1/5/08 and my second one has died. The first one lasted 2 days and I had to use the auto brew to get coffee due to the fact that the ON button stopped working. I took that one back and got another, (not a smart move). Plugged it in yesterday, made one pot yesterday and one pot this morning, went in to get my third cup of coffee and it is completely DEAD. I will never purchase another one of these.

I bought the B&D Spacemaker for my honey since he drinks coffee and I use my Mr. Coffee to make tea. After my boyfriend installed the coffeepot, he was so excited, he made a pot of coffee. The filter drawer popped open and coffee and grounds leaked all over the counter! After the third pot made, we switched, tea bags don't make as big a mess as loose grounds! Now its been few months and this machine is leaking from everywhere! I thought I have the little bugger beat, but I,m still standing over this thing and wiping as I go!!! Meanwhile, my boyfriend is enjoying my 10 year old, cheapy, Mr. Coffee!!!

From reading the other reviews it looks like I made it longer than others. We had the previous version of the space saver & thought we would upgrade even though our first pot was still working. What a bad choice. The first pot would not stay on the hanging bracket. The next two leaked all over the counter. Then after 3 months of watching the coffee brew, the thing stopped working. B7 D replaced it for $7.50. They never fixed the problem of coffee & water spilling all over the counter. Yesterday the replacement pot died again. This time I took it to them & they are sending a refund check. They need to pull this version off the market before some one gets hurt or killed. Anyone needing a new filter basket let me know. They sent me one every time I wrote them. If anyone from B&D with authority to do something wants to contact me, feel free to write.

I HAD THE BLACK AND DECKER FOR 8 YEARS AND VER HAPPY, BOUGHT THE NEW ONE AND WHAT A MESS IT DID. THE COMPANY TOOK IT BACK WITH NO PROBLEMS. I STILL WOULD LIKE TO HAVE ONE THAT WILL WORK.

We are on our 3rd under cabinet coffee maker. The water runs out all over our cabinet and we have to keep resetting just to get a pot of coffee. WE NEED A NEW PRODUCT DESIGN!!!

30 years ago one of the first things I bought for our new home was a B&D Spacesaver coffee maker and we loved it so much I bought another one just to have it on hand. Thank God! Christmas '05 we were given 'the new model' (thermal Carafe) and it was horrible, took it back and bought a Hamilton Beach Brewmaster because B&D didn't have anything else to offer for saving space. The Brewmaster bit the dust in Sept 06 so we bought a new design, now available, from B&D spacesaver model. This coffee pot makes us feel like we've never used a coffee pot before!!! Water all over the counter many times and now it has totally gone out!!! After 3 1/2 months of use for ONE PERSON it is dead as a doornail!!! Why couldn't B&Decker just leave their very first spacesaver model alone and not improve it? I won't buy another one UNTIL a decent one is designed.

This is the second B&D under cabinet coffe maker we have owned, the first one lasted 2 years. They quit maker the first one we had so we had to buy the "upgraded/newer model" this one leaks water on the counter top,steams up the cabinets above it, and takes longer to make a pot of coffee then are old one. This is not a upgrade, B&D just found ways to make it cheaper.I would have sent it back but I can not find another under cabinet pot, This is the last time B&D will get our money. DO NOT BUY THIS

Had this model a month, upon start of every brew ... leakage from coffee basket begins the drip mode to the counter ... more leakage spews forth from the water dispenser upon completion. Afterwards when u pull out either container ... water that hasn't hit its mark dumps all over the place! This poor design of a spacemaker replaced a great B&D model of 10 years in which the heating element finally failed w/ no past history of so much a drop! This new version should have never been produced for sale period!!!

Came down to the kitchen this morning to find ten cups of coffee on our hardwood floor!!! The "tap-a-cup" button seal had broken (after only five months of use)and leaked the brewing coffee all over. Also, with no heater element, the thermos pot barely keeps the coffee hot, and the pour spout is agonizingly slow, and it drips. The old B&D we had worked great for ten years - this new model is a DUD!!!
