" I purchased a product that did not meet my States lead requirements. When I was informed of this days later, I was treated as an ignorant, unknowing consumer who should of known what my State allows. After closer inspection of their poorly designed web site, I did see that this info was available. My complaint is this, they immediately had taken my money from my bank account and badgered me to buy something else. I was held hostage by an obviously young and uncaring women who felt empowered by a bunch of thugs (look at the photos on their web site) This was so shocking when I hung up the phone, I was shaking!!! Be warned. I am amazed they have been able to build a business. "

" While doing some research on Standard products for an entire bathroom remodel, I noticed the ad for Build.com on a web page, looked at their site, and signed up for a pro account. WHAT A MISTAKE! I placed an order (even though the prices were only a couple of dollars less than a big box special order program)and the products started to trickle in. It is apparent that these guys simply take orders, and have the merchandise drop shipped (heavy on the drop). Three of the items arrived damaged in three seperate shipments, including a whirlpool tub that had a four week lead time. It looked as if it had gone through a lot to get to Denver. It is very apparent that these "account managers" have never worked in the field, and have no idea what true customer service is other than taking your order. Mine wanted to do most everything by email, in spite of the fact that it is vastly inefficient. Also, they DO NOT understand that contractors often have completion dates that they must honor by contract. Because of the damaged goods, I could not meet my completion date, and asked for a rebate of some kind to appease the client. I have yet to see anything. DO NOT USE BUILD.COM IF YOU HAVE A COMPLETION DATE. You will not be able to complete the project on time. Here it is two months after the order was placed, and I'm still waiting on shipments. "

" During the ordering process it said that the item would ship within 3 to 5 days. After submitting the payment information it said that the item was out of stock and the "estimated" ship date would be in 10 days. "

" I ordered a light fixture from this company as it was time sensitive and the store confirmed the lights were in stock and shipped in 1 - 2 business days. That was June 24th. It is now July 18 and I get a notice advising it will ship on July 26th. This is pitiful customer service. One would think this store would offer some form of compensation. "

" I was in the market for 2 dummy door handles, I called to check on the avail. of the right side because it was out of stock and wanted to know when it will be available. I was told it should be in about 3weeks, so I placed the order, 2days later I was sent an e-mail saying it was discontinued. They have it on sale on there web-site and do not know it is discontinued? Last time shopping at Pullsdirect. "

" I ordered a pair of door knobs that I could have bought locally, but thought this would be easier. I paid extra for 2nd day air shipping 3 days ago and the order status says processing. I have not had a call or email advising me of a delay. "

" Several companies sell the Bella sink I ordered. Build.com ONLY got my order because you had 4 in stock and it would ship in 2-3 business days. It's now 4 business days later and guess what - no stock available until JUNE!!!!! The whole remodeling project is now on hold... "

" rec'd 2 bathroom sink faucets. Both boxes had seal broken. One faucet was discolored in spots and the other had a bent pipe which told me it was a return that was not examined but placed back in stock to be shipped to someone else. I tried calling the salesman who said to call at any time but was transferred to a general voice mail box each time as his box was not taking calls. Hopefully the return process will work better and if it does I will advise and give credit for that. "

" UPS Failed to deliver, I tracked order thur date it said it was delivered but did not recive it. Filed complant with Lighting Direct, now waiting for replacement shipment.
