Canon Zoom is a Major KEEPER
"...However, weight helps to stabilize the camera in my opinion which aids in reducing blurred images. Also with IS you can take some really tack sharp hand held photos.
I had this out in a once in a lifetime rare Spring snow storm in McKinney Texas (North of Dallas) on 3/21 (had to use a UV filter to protect the front lens) and this lens performed perfectly even though my hands froze. "...O. K.
Let me first start off by saying that I am no camera/lens expert in the technical sense. I am not a pro and only recently purchased my first DSLR (a Canon 7D with grip.) I initially went with Canon's EF 18-200 lens for about $600 to get my feet wet but have become unhappy with the lens creep, poor construction quality and focus noise (although I really had no problems with image quality.) The 28-300 was going to be my big splurge, costing more than my camera body, grip, bag, & filters combined.... See more |
