WIC-1DSU-T1= is of course the Wan Interface Card format DSU for T1 circuits. Amber alarm LED provides visual indication of circuit outage from the CO. More exact troubleshooting available via the IOS CLI interface "show" commands. These last well 5+ yrs in service. Should not be used as lightning arrestor on the data circuit as they make expensive fuses for surge protection. In region were I use these versus neighbor, these behave in service as well as an external 3rd party, but no cable clutter. Solid average; it sits and works, but no real bells as I see the aide of IOS information offset by minimal visual indicators.
