I bought my Hyper Aqualand in 2002, and consider it a great purchase. It has taken some abuse from me, but still works and looks great, and the bracelet makes it very comfortable despite its heft. I put it on at the beginning of my dive trips or vacations and take it off only for rinsing until I get home. I like the push button safety catch on the bracelet, and another button expands the bracelet a half inch so it will fit comfortably on your wrist or over a wetsuit sleeve. The watch automatically changes to dive mode below 4ft, showing current depth, max depth, water temp, and dive time. Alarms are audible under and above water. Upon surfacing, it automatically starts a surface interval clock. This is NOT a dive computer, but it does automatically store all the data required to use your dive tables. Additionally, it keeps depth and water temp profiles for the last 30 dives that can be downloaded and viewed with the included software. The software is also a log with the typical entries found in your paper logbook, including comments. My complaints are with the PC communication unit. The bracelet will not allow the watch to fit into the unit as described in the instructions. It must be inserted upside down and held at an angle during data transfers. The transfers are fast, so I tolerate it. It also requires an RS232 serial port making it incompatible with most modern laptops that have only USB ports. The first problem could be corrected in later unit, but Citizen recently confirmed their USB adaptor is not compatible with D20x series watches. Overall, I enjoy the watch and would recommend it to recreational divers making more than a few dives a year.
