Broke after 16 months, causing flood
Review From: Becky L, Jul 6, 2008
16 months after I bought it, a hose (factory installed--inside the dishwasher) popped off (clamp failed) and started pouring water under the dishwasher.
Until then I had been satisfied but not thrilled: Cleans dishes OK. (Tho not as well as a 24" because the plates are stacked closer together, by necessity. But if you only have 16" of room, it beats washing by hand.) The top rack height adjustment adds nothing, since on the lower setting I can't fit a dinner plate. The flip-down rack on lower shelf means well (to allow pots/pans) but is likewise not useful. One good-sized pot would pretty much prevent any other dishes on bottom rack. You're going to have to wash those pots by hand. And the rack flips down accidentally sometimes when I'm beginning to load the plates. Not a big deal, but not helpful.
Basically, it's been fine except for the flood. I would be cautious about not turning it on as you're leaving the house or going to bed. I'm lucky I caught the flood as quickly as I did. If it sounds different while running, check for flooding!
Other brand reviews also warned of breakdowns, though, so this may be typical.
