I have consistantly had trouble in lower and odd lighting situations such as gymanasiums and anything on a stage or in an auditorium. I have looked at dozens of cameras and this has easily out-performed in low-light situations. We recently used it on our caving trip and I compared my shots with others. Many others had pictures that were totally black or very dark and mine were bright and clear. It also compensates nicely for my movements- which is difficult to find in a 12mp.
