I upgraded to a 9500i after using the 8500 X50 (also from Passport) for a couple of years, and I am very happy with the way the 9500i works. I was specifically interested in the 9500i because of the way it uses GPS coordinates to help users block out known locations of false positives while still being able to pick up new (different) alerts in those same areas. Now that I'm able to do this, my daily drives are much quieter. I also love having the ability to switch between Auto and Expert Mode, and think the 9500i has fantastic range both front and back. By my unofficial count, the 9500i has already saved me from two potential tickets in the 6 weeks that I've been using it. A couple more saves, and it will have paid for itself! In my opinion, the 9500i radar detector has the best capabilities out there, so I highly recommend it if you're looking for a high-end RD!
