I heave read hundreds of reviews of the Solo 2 and have read some bad things. I am either crazy of they are all just unlucky. My Solo 2 worked great on the 4 hour test tonight. It was used in day and night, highway, and back roads. I have one false alarm but it quickly stopped. Otherwise, I picked up 3 officers running Ka Band Radar. I picked them up at a distance where rather than having to slam my brakes I was able to feather them to a legal speed. Keep in mind each time I was well above the speed limit (at least 25 over). It was very easy to program and place on the windshield. The release clip was a great feature; it allowed me to place the Solo 2 on the windshield of my custom car (very tight angled windshield) with no problems or bending of the clip. I was able to get low occurrences of X band which is used as a deterrent in our city. The Solo 2 was expensive; I purchased it for a total of 340.00 at my local best buy. Still, it was worth it. I have wreck less driving tickets for 95 in a 45. It is either a 400 dollar ticket and the night in jail or a one time fee of 340. I did the math; purchased my Solo 2 and I have no regrets.
