Fender Custom Shop 1959 Precision Bass Special NOS (Tobacco Sunburst)
Born in 1951, the P Bass revolutionized music, making the gig far easier on the bassist than lugging an acoustic upright. In 1959 Fender achieved what many bassists would call "P Bass perfection." We asked our friends at the Fender Custom Shop to craft us our ultimate version of the 1959 Precision Bass, built to our exact specifications. The 1959 Precision Bass Special NOS starts off with a spot-on replication of the '59 P Bass body, the classic split-coil pickup, and maple neck. But the fingerboard is rockin' a faster 9.5" radius and medium jumbo frets, making the 1959 Precision Bass Special NOS a super-comfortable bass to play. Period-appropriate hardware, vintage-style reverse tuning machines, and a gorgeous nitrocellulose finish round out the features on the 1959 Precision Bass Special NOS.Fender Custom Shop 1959 Precision Bass Special NOS Features at a Glance:Color: Tobacco SunburstBody: AshNeck: 1-piece maple, "C" shape, (nitrocellulose lacquer finish)Fingerboard: Maple, 9.50" radiusNo. of frets: 20 medium jumbo fretsPickups: 1 custom vintage ?59 split single-coil pickup (middle position)Controls: Volume, TonePickup switching: NoneBridge: American Vintage Precision BassMachine heads: Vintage style reverse tuning machinesHardware: Nickel/chromeScale length: 34" (864mm)Width at nut: 1.750" (44.5mm)Strings: 7150M, pure nickel, (.045, .065, .085, .105),Accessories: Strap, cable, polishing clothCase: Vintage Tweed case with gold interior includedDiscover the glory days of the electric bass with this Fender Custom Shop 1959 Precision Bass Special NOS!
