"...I am a boat captain and I wanted this unit for my hobbies, sailing, fishing, hunting, geo cashing, bicycle riding and travel.
I have used it a work and matched it to GPS units costing much more and it is just as accurate and actually easier to personalize and use.
I would give it a 10 if you could buy charts for just the area you want to use it in, in the US you have to buy the entire chart pack for the entire US!!!... See more

"...So far what I have used it for it has been a good little gadget.
When I can finally afford a map (Starts at $75 dollars on Amazon, from Garmin they start at $100) and I learn all the features I am sure I will be much happier.
I just wish I would have looked into it more in the beginning as my only real complaint is the price of Maps.... See more

Compared to the other new etrex units, I find the 20 to be the best value.
The only things the 30 brings are a compass, altimeter, and wireless sharing.... See more
