I've owned this drive for almost two years now. Never had a problem with it except recently the USB cable shorted but that wasn't a big deal. It's a really dependable drive, However not the quickest out there. Not good for 24/7 use because it's 'silent' fan can be quite loud at times.I just bought a 320GB portable 2.5" today for the same price and I prefer this new drive for it's 1/4 the size, USB powered (The HP drive's adapter is pretty big), and a LOT lighter.
