Great Reliability
Liked this printer so much from work, went and bought one for home. I go through a box (5000)of paper at least quarterly at home, and it has lasted me more than 7 years. Easy loading for special size or purpose paper or to print on on back side.Great cartridge price too for the 15X.

No better laser in its class for the money.
The side door snap fits to access USB connection. No screws needed to loosen. Read the very detailed drawing or picture when in doubt. Only 7 seconds from first completed print page. Cartridge refill $68.00 for approximately 5000 pages in text. Always go HP and never look back and never go wrong. I've work with all major brands for 18 years. www.sohogap.com

Excellent Laser Printer for home or office
This is a very good laser printer. I especially like the short warmup time for the first sheet to be printed and the fact that it can be left on all the time. I also find the manual feed slot to be better than most other printers. The only two negatives (and they are both minor) is the thump made when the printer goes into sleep mode after printing and the styling. I liked the box style of the LaserJet Model 4 and 5 better.

flimsy case keeps it from a better rating
had to remove the side panel to plug in a parallel printer cable. Doing so knocked the rest of the case all haywire which resulted in the door for the toner cart not closing. After loosening about a million screws and getting everything lined back up, it was fine. I'm using it on a linux machine, and it works fine with ifhp using the generic ps filter. output is pretty crisp, though the defaults seems a little light.
