Very Happy
Review From: Erik Robb, Sep 9, 2007
I've had the Infocus IN72 for about 6 months now and have been very happy with it so far. Others complain the bulb burned out early but mine hasn't. I don't use it every day for daily TV watching. Just sports games, movies, HD nature shows and the like, and I make sure to turn it off as soon as I'm done. (Don't fall asleep and leave it on all night) Never let the power switch off to the projector (as with all projectors)until it has gone through the cooldown phase, and don't let your kids or roommates use it. I have mine at about a 20" distance and it is projecting a 120' display on my offwhite painted wall. It's a spectacular picture in HD. It's also nice an quiet. My neighbor has one that is somewhat loud and is annoying during quiet parts of movies. I'm never going to buy a large TV again. In fact I'm giong to buy another projector for upstairs.

My power supply dies within a month and when you flick the switch it will not come on. I just wish In focus would recall this product. It cost me a lot of time, purchasing, trying and returning and ordering a new one. For the one month I used, it was good. I am considering purchasing a ViewSonic Cine 5000 which is more expensive however has great reviews and is 720P.

Infocus Power Supply Problems
Review From: jgpinc2@sbcglobal.net, Mar 16, 2008  | See All Reviews
Infocus has known issues with power supply failures . They should have recalled these products that have bad power supplies!!! Instead they offer and upgrade at the owner's expense!

Worked great for 12.5 months.
Review From: BKVAN@shaw.ca, Jan 21, 2008  | See All Reviews
I have had my IN72 for 12 months 12 days, and it worked great! right up until the power supply began to smoke and burn, and because I am 12 DAYS over warranty its now going to cost aprox. $400+ to repair above the $1000 I bought it for. At $1400 a year that works out to $117 per month thats pretty expensive tv.Thanks for NOTHING Infocus!

Cant touch it for the money
Review From: Willaim Bailey, Mar 26, 2007
For a 480P projector this thing is amazing. Super quiet, discrete codes for everything, HDMI, and a beautiful picture with great color, good black levels and I have had no problems at all, I run mine hours a day for 4 months now.

Lasted barely a month
Review From: David Jones, Feb 23, 2007
Just like the other reviews below, I purchased mine and was satisfied with the projector until it died a month after purchase. It exceeded my expectations in brightness and the image looked VERY good considering the unit's resolution. I thought I struck gold on this one. After less then 100 hrs of use, almost exactly a month after purchase... the unit cut off as if the power died. I've started fighting infocus over this since the unit is a little less then a month old, but I haven't gotten anywhere. If you dont mind replacing your equipment monthly, then this is a great deal. If you are planning on keeping your projector for the life of the bulb, this isn't the one for you.

Picture was good, not great till it died...
Review From: Gary Stepanian, Dec 21, 2006
Like the other reviewer, my projector lasted about 2 weeks with about 10 hours on it. Factory service says that they have had "some power supply problems" and provided a RMA, with shipping my responsibility. I agree, In Focus should recall this projector, and even consider an upgrade to victims.

Beware of poor customer service
Review From: bimmerphan@gmail.com, Oct 3, 2006  | See All Reviews
After much research on this site, a few other sites and a couple of visits to various local retailers, I decided to make the plunge into front projection with the Infocus IN72. Given my meager budget, the IN72 seemed to be my best option. I ordered it from an authorized online retailer, and received it about 13 days later. After installation and calibration, I was reasonably satisfied with it's performance with HD (albeit not an HD projector) and very impressed with the IQ from a progressively scanned DVD source. Overall I was quite satisfied, until.... A couple of days ago, I was watching a ballgame with several friends, and for no reason the projector just died. It acts as though it's unplugged....DEAD. After being told that my 30day window for return had expired with the retailer (purchased 38days ago), I was thinking, worse case scenario, I can contact Infocus and arrange to swap this unit out. Nope, they only offer a 15 day warranty on their projectors. 15 DAYS!?!? My only options are to send it in for repair or pay $99 to swap it out for a refurbished unit! Bottom line, I've owned the dang thing for barely a month, and I'm stuck with having it repaired, paying full price (+$100) for a refurbished replacement or throwing it away and starting over. I find it ludicrous that in this day in age, a manufacturer with such a reputation offers such poor customer service and more importantly, won't stand behind their product. Even if it is a simple repair (I've read there is a design flaw in the fuse put in these things), the prudent move here is to issue a recall and offer a replacement at no cost to the customer. There is no doubt in my mind that I WILL NEVER BUY ANOTHER PRODUCT FROM INFOCUS EVER AGAIN! While I'm sure I'm in the minority, any of you who are contemplating a purchase from this manufacturer should certainly think twice.

Great Projector
Review From: Mike, Jul 5, 2006
Looking good, and performance is good. Considering higher price, this is still worth it.
