User Review: Pros: Comfortable, nice keyboard and good range. Cons: Trackball needs one more support point. When rolling down, the ball tends to lift up and rock all over the place.

Finally, wireless that works

After fumbling and throwing money away on all the 'name brand' wireless keyboards and mice and dealing with their very limited range, i thought I'd try the IOGEAR GKM581R.
Even in grungy, noisy manufacturing environments, they 'just work' at distances of 20-30ft.... See more

Pros: * game-controller-style "trigger" buttons for left-click and scroll * Media hot buttons I bought this for my HTPC build and I have been relatively pleased with it thus far.

The keys are pretty responsive, but don't forget that this is a smaller keyboard, so you are going to have that laptop-style condensed format.
This was a better option for me that the HTPC remote/wireless keyboard options that had cell-phone-style keyboards, however.... See more

distance of 20 yards without indecent, keyboarding @ 53 WPM, and using the mouse heavily) Cons: NONE Other Thoughts: As the department head for computer services I have to make a ton of presentations in rooms ranging in size from a small conference room to a mid-sized (350 seat) auditorium.
This allows me to not be tied down and allows others the opportunity to present their ideas while in a meeting.... See more

Pros: After 7 months of ownership, no problems whatsoever.
"...Good ergonomic feel in the lap with slip-resistant rubber pads on either end on bottom. Thumb and index fingers positioned perfectly using track ball, buttons and wheel.
In my experience, the battery charge lasts about two weeks when keyboard is used 3-4 hours a day.
The trackball is a bit clunky at times, but works well.... See more

Pros: * Nice lap and finger feel * I like the size * Seems sturdy Cons: * the charging cable and receiver fob do not store inside the keyboard * the charging cable should also be able to double as a keyboard cable for wired operations (it's USB, already connected to my computer!) * in a mediacenter (living room) setup, the trackball should get full of dust and crumbs pretty soon, I'd trust a trackpad more * And worst: if you have even a moderate strength WiFi signal, the 2.4GHz RF signal gets lost _all_ the time.

Pros: * Solid feel and construction * USB recharging of included batteries * Good price at the time of this review Cons: * Batteries failed to charge from the start * No status indicator for Numlock key can cause login problems Other Thoughts: I should state from the start that I purchased (and quickly returned) this keyboard from a local B&M retailer.

I wanted to like this keyboard but the inability of the device to indicate a full battery charge after 24 hours of USB charging did not inspire confidence (the light stayed red indefinitely).... See more
