New for 2007 the Jaguar XK Series has been redesigned and is available in 2+2 coupe and convertible models, replacing the models introduced in 1996. Changes include an all aluminum construction that results in improved torsional rigidity, an increase of 50% in stiffness for the convertible, as well as an improved power to weight ratio. Features on the XK include keyless start and available Active Front Lighting. The 6-speed sequential shift automatic transmission has steering wheel mounted paddles that allow for manual shifting. The interior boasts an increase in leg, head and shoulder room over the previous generation model, with the new, 7-inch touch-screen controlling all major functions of the vehicle in a menu-driven environment.
