User Review: I like the solar option. I ran it without the AA batteries to make sure it really used solar. The emergency features are superior, the reading light on the solar panel is quite ingenious.

Radio without electricity or batteries
"...I live in a remote area without electricity.
This radio works even if the batteries go dead; and I don't need to make a special trip to town to get batteries.
Just a few cranks or a littel sunshine and I can get the weather forcast etc.... See more
