Nano is only a name

I needed this controller to manage third party software for keyboard sound production.
There are several much more expensive, (and lager), systems available, but they often only duplicate partial controls already present in other hardware or the keyboard.... See more

Solid performer
"...Does exactly what it says on the tin. Feels surprisingly solid and sturdy and the knobs and faders have a nice smooth action.
Ease of setup depends largely on the software you're using it with but haven't run into any trouble with Cubase, Korg Legacy Collection or Traktor.
Programming software is optional, default settings will work for most anything but if you need it the software is straightforward to use.... See more

"...It is class compliant and fully programmable. The knobs/faders send CC data and the buttons send program changes/notes.
The knobs are not continuous, but send absolute MIDI data.
Korg provides a fantastic editor and drivers, as well as progam templates for some DAWs.... See more

Simple, sturdy and perfect

Downloaded the drivers from the Korg site, and had the NanoKontrol working with Reaper in less than 5 minutes.

Couldn't get it to work with Cubase LE/Win XP

I'm not computer illiterate and I spent plenty of time trying to work it out, but the DAW just wouldn't learn the Nanokontrol functions.
It's a great little tool for the money, looks like decent build quality and I imagine it would be great with the right software, but I had to return it.... See more
