Kodak's cute Slice camera features an extra large touch-screen LCD, a solid UI, and good image quality—but if you're willing to spend its $300 price, there are plenty of worthy competitors.
At $299.95, the 14-megapixel Kodak Slice has a price that's justified on paper by a 3.5-inch touch-screen LCD, 2GB of embedded storage, and tools to help simplify photo and video sharing. Add in an attractive design and decent image quality, and the Slice would be a fine choice at, say, $250. And the camera's slow zoom, focusing, and shooting speeds make the $300 price even more difficult to swallow.
