We ordered this washer online along with the matching dryer. This replaced a very tired Maytag that washed clothes for 4 boys and 2 adults for 24 years (and was still going) with only one belt replacement. When it came time to update and replace it, we discovered that Maytag was no longer the reliability leader. After much research over several months, we bought the LG2487HWMA. This new LG Steamwasher uses only a fraction of the electricity, water, detergent and softener. It is VERY quiet and the clothes all come out super clean. Our son is a welder and the Steamwasher gets out all the dirt and grease. The clothes are almost dry before they go into the dryer. We're saving money and helping save resourses. We'll see if it will hold up over the long haul, 24 years is a long time!
