Bought the system for security purposes, and first impression was great until i started delving further into surveillance.
The short falls are the following: Needs a computer,Needs an internet connection, media is recorded to micro SD card when computer is turned off (media card is in the camera itself, not to smart someone can just steal the camera, and no more evidence), motion detection is very sensitive even with the adjustable sensor, cannot be connected to backup battery in case of power failure(big deal breaker for me),average price per additional camera about 300.00.... Easy setup is what sold me!

One of my primary criteria was ease of setup and I don't see how it can be any easier than this system - install the Commander software, plug the network adapter into the router and electrical outet, plug the camera into an electrical outlet and you're done.... See more
