I found this products overall rating excellent
I'm a senior citizen and not computer savvy. If I can install this web cam any one can. Since purchasing the Logitech Web Cam 4000 I have not had one minutes problem. The picture is great and I'm enjoying my purchase. My only complaint is with the booklet that came with it. Not very informative.

Oone of the best webcam's out there
I've had it for over 6 months now and the only problems i've had are with it's software.Sometimes it will give you errors if you try to record for a longer period...The image quality is very good, the zoom feature is helpfull and it's got a long cord so you have freedom of movement.I recommend it as a webcam although the picture quality is not excellent.

Best there is.
Ive had the Logetech Quickcam Pro 4000 for a month and its the best ive used and i am pro web designer, I recomend this to every one great to stay in touch

Great product
Not sure why some people had problem with this camera. It has worked flawlessly since I installed it. The zoom feature is awesome which is not available on any other cameras as far as i know. I also had it running for 2 days straight as a motion detector without any problem at all.

Cam features are ok, software sometimes freezes computer
This cam is great with the exception, one cant mount it on a flat panel and the cord gets in the way. Takes great pictues. Had no problem downloading software. Logitechs instruction booklet is not the best. When you use the Logitech gallery software it tends to freeze computer and you cant shut off the cam.

Real time streams
This cam was capable to produce real time stream also the motion detect worked great. Digital zoom in the software was a new feature that not all software vendors offer. Only problem was that the cam would lock up IM and I have not found the conflict yet.

Easy
This was a great and easy to use product. It even makes video mail super easy. My only complaint was the CD they sent with the product was blank. It was easy to get the download information off the website though.

Very Good Cam
Well I didn't know much about these cam's. I searched the net for a good one and found this one. I made a very good choice. I didn't like the picture it produced at first. But friends of mine after viewing it over the net told me it looks great. I just didn't like the way the software was installed. They don't ask you anything. They just go ahead and install Realplayer and Back-web for auto updates. But I may reinstall and see if there's a custom install available to use.

This Camera is bad
I bought this camera thinking it would be good - but it is not. Yeah, it has that CCD chip or whatever... but my supposedly lesser quality (Intel brand) webcam provides a better picture. This camera is bad!

Look at something else
I have had this camera for over a week. I have uninstalled and reinstalled about ten times. I downloaded the new drivers and still does not work. Logitech were of no use. All thay could do tell me to use the web site to get help.

Having audio trouble
I've had the Logitech Quickcam Pro 4000 for about a week now and have had a problem with audio ever since. Its worked fine 1 day and never did work again. Not sure whats wrong. Trouble is there is no tech support for this.

Frustrating.....could not install on flat panel
Never installed because it was impossible to release the cam from the basic base. Called Logitech and they advised that you just pull straight up and out but neither we or the sales people at Staples could accomplish this. Upsets me because I own stock in Logitech.

Lousy
The picture quality was ok, but this product froze my computer and the software, somehow, made my computer fail to recognize my CD drives. I installed and uninstalled several times with no luck. The control panel for the webcam settings would not open either. It took me a couple of hours of research to figure out how to get my computer to recognize me CD drives. My advice - be afraid, be VERY afraid.
