User Review: I just wish the wifi version did not have issues with some apps not loading so I got the 3g, because I think in the long run it will be the better one since it is more like a phone and can do a bit m

iWhat?
"...I researched this and the iPad extensively before getting this, and this is hands down the best tablet out there (along with the Asus one). Unlike the iPad, you'll have tabbed browsing, flash support, external storage, widescreen viewing, and live widgets just to name a few.
Mine is rooted, and I'm able to stream my hundreds of gigabytes of movies from my network share straight to my xoom and then to the tv via the hdmi port. It's more for techie people, but if you just want a toy or something more simple to use, I'd recommend the iPad.... See more

Awesdome tablet......
"...I picked this up Friday evening and it took only about 15 minutes to set it up. That included setting up a Gmail account and my personal email.
I am very pleased with the Motorola Xoom. As my first experience with a tablet I could ask for nothing more.... See more

Great Tablet
"...I was looking for something to take with me when traveling instead of taking my heavy laptop with me. I have a small part time business, so being able to check on things off my phone just wasnt enough.
I had been looking for a while at the tablets and was undecided between, the iPad 2, the Samsung Galaxy or the Motorola Xoom. After talking with the mgr at radio shack, I had it narrowed down to the Galaxy and the Xoom.... See more

Best All Around Tablet To Date No Predjudice...
"......
I have shopped and researched tablets & eReaders for two weeks straight with some hands on experience as I write this review on my new 3g/4g enabled Adobe Flash Xoom. I had the other populer tablet at home with me for two days but the wireless company sales rep set up the 3g wrong and then said I had to travel to the tablet's storefront so I returned it with a no restocking fee, luckily because they faulted, and this led to a new intensive investigation of the tablets available and to the what is "Coming Soon" and/or pre-order status.... XOOM is priced correctly compared to tablet market
"...
A lot of people have been complaining about the $800 dollar cost of the XOOM. They say that Motorola should price the XOOM in the $500-600 dollar range so they can be cheaper than the comparative Ipad.... See more

honeycomb=amazing xoom runs it nicely
"...
at first i was discouraged by some of the reviews that i read, but finally i gave in and bought the xoom with 3g.i was glad to hear i would revieve a 4g upgrade when it comes out but after playing with the device a bit i don't wanna send my baby away.first thing i noticed when i took it out of the box was its weight was a bit heavier than i expected but nothing bad it has a nice feel to it as if your holding a computer.it runs honeycomb very smoothly despite some claims of glitchynessa fair selection of apps not a amazingly big variety but that will change quicklyoverall best purchase i ever made thank you XOOM! ... NICE!!!
"...im getting really tired of all the people saying that it will not come w/ flash, it will get an OTA for flash in the spring. as for the price tag, keep in mind the its getting an LTE upgrade for FREE.
as for the contract, you dont need it if you dont want the contract all you need to do is have a subscription for one month, cancel w/ verizon and then you can use WiFi all you want. at least you will still have the option of using LTE later on w/ no contract.... See more

Almost Great, but at least Very Good
"...Buyers of a high tech gadget should do as much research as possible before investing money into said gadget.
Case in point - the Motorola Xoom was released w/o Flash and w/o micro-SD functioning, but both will be available after software updates. I don't really care for 4G since I'm usually around a wi-fi connection, but if that's something you want, you should know that you will have to send the Xoom to Motorola for them to upgrade it.... With Verizon??? Why??
"...And no flash??If I want to buy a tablet, I would go with Apple (IPAD1 or IPAD2). I agree that competition is good.
I would go and have a look at the Xoom but wont buy it. ... See more

I REALLY wanted this to be better...
"...Unfortunately, this particular implementation fails to measure up. I can't blame it completely on Motorola as Google needs to figure out what users really need in an OS, not what they want it to be.
I bought a Xoom and worked hard with it for two weeks to try to convince myself that it would be a better solution than an iPad. The accumulation of small things that were ALMOST good enough got to be too much for me when comparing it against an iPad (1st generation).... See more

Also Adobe and Motorola both say that the XOOM will receive the flash update only a few weeks after the XOOM hits the market.http://blog.laptopmag.com/motorola-xoom-on-sale-february-24th-599-on-contract-799-withouthttp://blog.laptopmag.com/motorola-xoom-on-sale-february-24th-599-on-contract-799-without ...
