Seeing is Believing with Nikon Binoculars
Review From: editorialreviews@nextag.com, Dec 9, 2005
"NikonĀ® redesigned its popular Monarch binoculars to great fanfare. The 10x42 Monarch ATB carries on the same traits that made its rugged predecessor beloved: waterproof, nitrogen purged against fog, and the more compact roof prism design. The new lighter version boasts phase correction and other coatings to contribute to better imaging, whether in bright or low-light conditions. As the name indicates, it can magnify up to 10 times, and the 42mm objective lens gathers the light needed. The rubber design can be held for long periods of times, an important element for birdwatchers and hunters who can find the 31-ounce binoculars easy to grip even in damp conditions. The rubber eyecups can be adjusted, making it comfortable for those with or without eyeglasses. The Nikon also has an internal center focus and an adjustable diopter. It generally comes with a case, strap, rainguard, and lens cap. Of course, what makes this a favorite is its price, often a portion of its competitors, while offering high quality. "
