what a great LCD
Review From: Eric, Nov 28, 2007
Let me start be saying I usually do a lot of research before purchasing anything. I wanted an LCD for the kids bonus room for watching TV and playing XBOX. I decide on LCD as we have windows that would've had light glaring off of TV if we would have went the plasma way. I didnt want to spend to much money as we needed another larger TV for our family room in the near future. I read so many reviews on these Olevia's and 95% of them were on the positive side. As you compare the picture in stores with Sony or Samsung side by side, the Sony's and Samsungs do give you a slightly better picture, but not twice as good. This is what made me decide on the Olevia and of course the price. I picked one up at Curcuit city for 475.00 and brought it home, took about 1 hour to set up and WOW what a picture. I was amazed at how great it was without having direct TV yet. It even picks up High DEf. channels off the airways. After a couple of weeks with being more impressed everytime I watch this TV I found myself upstairs in bonus room more so then down in family room where we still have an older analog set. I started thinking why wait another year for a new set downstairs when I can go out and buy the larger Olevia at a much lower price now. I went and purchased the Olevia 242V (42")for my family room. I must say I was a little scared at first with a brand name I wasnt familiar with, so I tested Olevia with a smaller less expensive set before buying the larger one. I am very pleased with both the 32 and 42 inch LCD's and everyone that comes over is so impressed with the picture they even say in matches their more expensive sets. Bottom line you will be very happy with this brand and the features that both sets give you. I paid under 1300.00 for both sets combined and now have two great tv's. I hope this review helps you in your purchase.
