So Far, So Good
Review From: Jazzeerun@aol.com, Sep 13, 2006  | See All Reviews
This model has an excellent picture with ample audio and visual adjustments. This 32 inch model also has two stereo/surround sound front facing speakers, which is - in my opinion - better than side or rear facing speakers. Unlike, some flat panels this model allows decimal searching. For example, if I press 85.22 on the remote control, I'll get a smooth jazz radio channel. This is a nice feature. You may want to add a subwoofer or home theatre system for more auditory depth. There are ample signal inputs (HMDI, co-axial and others) for your cable, satellite, video games, etc. To no fault of Philips, I also added a Magnavox signal booster, to my cable input, which inceased the cable signal significantly. In the past, I have ALWAYS had to send in my Philip/Maganvox televisons for repair, usually after the warranty had expired, and have found their customer service dept to be sub-par (passing with a C-/D+). I'm currently past the warranty's expiration date and have had, to date, no problems. It appears as though Philips/Magnavox has iron out their quality assurance issues. Well, thus far, it's been so far, so good. I rate this one as a buy.

Good for 1 year
Review From: Terry Walls, Dec 17, 2007
I purchased this television and all worked fine for just over a year and then and behold had a similar problem to those experiencing faulty power switches. The screen has gone blue and all Phillips can suggest is to reset it as per the instruction manual. Have tried this many times and also tried leaving unplugged for long periods of time to see if it will reset itself. Did think that the newer models would be better then those of a couple of years ago which had great problems with power switches. I have had many televisions and they lasted at least 4 years before going wrong. I will not be buying another PHILLIPS TELEVISION.

Excellent Picture
Review From: Pat Garon, Dec 15, 2006
The Pixel Plus is extrodinary. I wouldn't have it any other way, since I've had this television, i finally know what I've been missing, HDTV, it also doubles as my computer monitor, and I've tried with other competition HDTVs and i could never read the writing but with this TV it's an all in all package and i LOVE IT!

I loved it so much I purchased 2.
Review From: Jeff G, Oct 19, 2006
I purchased one of these sets and was so pleased with it I purchased a second one. It was extremely easy to set up and the build in cable card/HD tuner makes for a great picture. I hung one in my kitchen and the second went at my newly finished constructed bar room in my basement. Basically you plug it in the it goes through the automated set up and tunes in all the cable HD channels (I have Comcast). The cable company installs the cable card to organize the channels into their order. It took all of about 10 minutes to set up. The picture looks great in sunlight soaked kitchen.

Fantastic deal for the money
Review From: Ray O, Oct 10, 2006
I bought this tv for my computer room and am very pleased with the transaction. The only draw back I found is the lack of a DVI connection which my cable company has on the box instead of the better HDMI which the tv has, but I got an adapter and all is well.

DO NOT BUY
Review From: C. I. , Oct 3, 2006
I bought one of these, it's been in the shop three times for the same problem with no luck repairing. I sent it to the repair shop in June, it's October now and still at the shop, third time for the same problem. No customer service at Phillips, NONE. I'll never buy another Phillips product.

Great if you pay $800.00 or lower
Review From: Mad4TheMouse, Sep 7, 2006
I bought this unit "refurbished" from my local Big Lots and paid $797.00. I found the set up to be very easy and after 20 minutes with the Dishnetwork guys on the phone I was watching my new tv. The clock is goofy... I can't get it to display the correct time even though I have set and reset it, but that's not a big issue. I plugged my digital camera into it...o.k. whoever decided to put a USB cable hook up on a tv is a mad genius... because our pictures popped on the screen and all I heard from the family was ooohhhs and aaahhhs. Daughter can't wait to plug in laptop and watch downloaded movies from Vongo! Whoo Hoo! Wish they had another one at the store. My room could use a tv like this!

Don't buy a Philips flat screen.
Review From: Oliver Reid (CT), Jul 25, 2006
Don't buy a Philips flat screen. Mine died a few months out of warranty. Philips wanted $1700 to replace 1 board. (Plus I have to pay labor above that.)
