Great Sound, Poor Sound and PIP
This is absolutely the best LCD I have seen as far as picture quality. The 1080P is amazing if you can afford an input that support if (e.g. Blue Ray). I know some don't like the gloss black look but I think it looks very sharp. It was very easy to set-up. I think there are still some basics that they excluded. I am not sure if it was technical or functional but -The integrated DCR tuner only supports digital via air and not cable. The older model supports this. Samsung marketing does not reference this change. Not a big deal if you plan on using your cable providers STB or cable card.
Sound is awful. If you raise the volume to 15/100 the speakers vibrate with lower mid-range/bass sounds. Extremely annoying but not an issue if you plan on using your A/V receiver. The quality of picture makes this somewhat tolerable.
Picture-In-Picture (PIP) is very unusable. Per the manual, you can only have an input (Component/HDMI/DVI) as your primary source. Secondary sources can only consist of cable or air. Example: You can set your DVD as primary source and cable as a second source but not vice versa. There is not option to "swap" the two either. Therefore, you can never hear the sound of the cable or air because it can only be secondary. Remote is cheaply built compared to other LCDs.
Everything is menu driven and can be very annoying. You can not simply add a channel to the channel menu. You have to go through the Auto Program function via the menu. This can be annoying if you are trying to pull in digital channels via air.I know that seems like a lot of negative but the picture is truly outstanding. My two cents.
