"They added insurance charges which were not explained during the online transaction. They did not notify me about product availability, after 10 days I had to call and find out the product would not arrive for another 10 days - not on time for my trip. Rude and arrogant customer service, not helpful AT ALL. Refund not processed quickly enough - I will not be able to buy my camera and lenses from another vendor. BAD BAD VENDOR!! STAY AWAY!!! Horrible customer service, horrible experience, stay away from this guys! Do an extended review online and you will see many other customers as unsatisfied as I am."

"DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY. I placed an order on 12/4. Wouldn't ship until I called them - presumably credit card issue - but no, they only wanted to sell me add-ons - so no ship until 12/14. Needed to return - they didn't want to take it despite the fact that my husband had bought a more advanced camera that we wanted to keep - wanted us to exchange this camera for the more advanced one, then return the camera my husband bought (which we'd already used) - then wanted a 50% restocking charge. Camera from Prestige had never even been out of the box. Finally settled on a refund after at least 20 minutes of back and forth. Shipped the camera back - they received 1/6/09. They owe me almost $500. It's now 2/20/09 and no refund issued and no response to my e-mails. If you call, you just sit on hold. The advertised price was great, but you can't get it shipped until you add a bunch of expensive (but really cheap) add-on accessories. This company has true NON-customer service. I've filed a dispute with my credit card company. "

"Prestige camera is a scam BEWARE don't buy anything from them and if you already placed an order CANCEL IT if they refuse to cancel it make sure you don't accept anything they want to add to your bill they are THEFTS You dont have to pay $48 handeling fe even if the shiping is free you don't hve to take the shipping insurance etc... I bought a Sony T500 at $289 ended up with a $423"

"Extremely slow shipping, even though I paid for 2 day shipping. I would get a run-a-round every time I would call for information. Excessive time spent on hold. Website claims that all of their items are "new", yet the Garmin Nuvi that I received was a refurbished unit. Serial number was verified with Garmin to be a refurb. AVOID THIS COMPANY."

"Ordered a Samsung LN-32A550 32-Inch 1080p LCD HDTV and the ship date kept getting pushed back. Calling customer service wasn't a plesant task either. After several calls and not getting anywhere, I finally called and asked about the ship date on the item as if I was a new customer and they said it would ship out right away. Then I called customer service again and the item was pushed back to Feb. and they said they didn't know if they'd have it then. Maybe it had something to do with me getting it $100 off the current listed price. I will never deal with them again and my order is now cancelled."

"BUYER BEWARE!!! I called PrestegeCamera.com to order a Sony DSLR-A700 Camera. They quoted a price, including shipping of $731. When I told them I didn't need any accessories, they gave me a final price of $798. The additional 'Service and Handling' charge. BAIT AND SWITCH!! I was then told I needed a battery. The Battery and charger are already included, but they wanted to charge me an additional $50.00, bumping the charges from $731, to $849. I told him that I didn't want the batteries, so he said he will cancel the order, and he hung up the phone. Very poor customer service, and very questionable business practices. I would not do business with this company. Bait and Switch!!!"

"Customer service is awful, hours and days of customer service department are constantly changing, the sales department can't tell you the status. When trying to reach CS, it takes in most cases 30-40 minutes of wait time. Their automated system for the status of your order doesn't work properly, says that either the order number or a zip code were entered incorrectly. So, it's been 2 weeks and I have no idea when I am going to receive my TV. Really frustrating!!!"

"Ordered on 5 Jan 09. Was promised shipment in 10-12 days. Follow up revealed item was not shipped and they had none in stock, however, they had not informed me of that status. They said backorder would probably get me an item in another 10 days. Eleven days and no shipment number or expected delivery. I think I will cancel and try an alternate vendor."

"Horrible service, complete rip off. Bait and switch hucksters. My camera was 'in stock', rep told me there were plenty of them, then oddly when I didn't order all the accessories he tried to shuck on me my order got delayed. Been 3 weeks, still no order, no update, no return call. "

"Prestige Camera is a Bad company. Bad customer service especially when you talk on the phone I do not recomend anybody to Buy from them not unless you want to go thruough alot of hassel like I did."

"Low priced item. Placed order, played run-around with them trying to speak with CS rep. They said I had to speak with them to confirm billing question. But it was just an excuse to push outrageously priced add ons. Then, after 2 weeks of not returned phone calls and emails I get through and learn item is on back order for 2 more weeks. These guys are clowns, no class, no apology, because they don't give a d***. If you can stand the BS then the low price may be worth it. Hack operation. "

"This company uses a bait and switch method. Their prices are great, but you recieve an email telling you, "We are required to speak to you in order to verify your billing information". When you call, they put on high pressure to sell you warranty, better battery, etc. We declined, and after much arguement (we already had an item just like it and were buying this for our daughter, so we knew the factory battery was fine), they said it was already packaged up and would ship it. The next day, we got an email telling us the item was "currently unavailable" and to call their sales office. We did, and they told us they did not know when they would have more... we canceled our order! Apparently, they don't want your business unless you spend more money on their unnecessary warranty and batteries. I will never buy from them again."

"Customer service is horrible. They outsourced to India and they are very rude. After 4 days of placning my order when I haven't received any e-mail then Cust Rep asked me "wahat's my question" in very rude way. I sent a few e-mails asking the status of my order but no reply. Finally, I called them again and I was told it may take upto 2 weeks (in rude way). Please don't buy from this site in order to save few bucks."

"BUYER BEWARE!! This is a bait and switch outfit, advertising one price and then hooking you for another! I was promised one package and got another. Tried calling and was told I made the mistake! They would not take a return! Disgusting service and support!!!"

"I purchase many things on the internet. This by far has been the worst experience I've had in my life. PrestigeCamera.com wouldn't send out my order without E-mailing me and asking me to call them. I did and they insisted that my address was wrong and that they wanted to verify it. It was entered correctly. They then gave me several false dates on when the order would be shipped. They clearly either don't have the item that I ordered or I'm being mislead. Their tech support would answer the phone with "give me your order #" put me on hold and never return back to me (this happened twice). Support representatives were rude. After being told my order would ship Monday and that I would receive a tracking # via E-mail I waited until Tuesday, no tracking #. I sent them an E-mail on Tuesday and it's now Thursday and I'm still waiting for a reply on my E-mail. I eventually put a stop payment through my bank. Buyer beware!"

"I ordered a Nikon D80 with two lens package on October 7, 2008. It is now three months later. I was initially contacted to "up-sale" the product. When I said I wasn't interested, I was told the item was on back order and not available. I have make two phone calls and was told that the item would be available next month (two different months.) The item is still advertised on Prestige Camera's website as "in stock" three months after I have been told it is not available. I think Prestige is running a "bait and switch" scam."

"They are not professional at all, I spoke to 5 different people and the attitude got worst by the person. Then when I spoke to the manager, I found out that manager was the bigger problem. He was screaming on the phone, and because of that I had to scream back and there was no way to reason with him. This is one more company of the many that with a gift card they think people can forget the bad experience, rudeness, and most of all lack of professionalism. They do have great price but once you have an experience I guarantee you rather pay extra 100s of dollars¿ and be 100% satisfied. Because it seems that just because they have lower price they can speak to you the way that they want to. "

"I purchased a Nikon Coolpix for my niece for Christmas. The website stated "free shipping", but I was charged a $22.00 "processing fee" that was never shown in my shopping cart, as I would expect any fee to be shown, nor was the fee detailed in the e-mail I received regarding the processing of the order. I did receive a phone call which told me the total of my order, and when I inquired about the higher total, I was told that the "processing fee" was clearly stated both on the website and in the e-mail that I received regarding the processing of my order. This statement from Prestige Camera is false. I did give the company the opportunity to avoid negative reviews with an e-mail to their customer service address, but I got no response. I fully believe that Prestige Camera utilized deceptive practices, knowing that most people will not complain, nor take the time to type out these reviews. I will also be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I purchase a lot of merchandise online due to the lack of retailers in Vermont, and I have never had an issue with any retailer, nor have I ever been charged a fee before that was not clearly shown in the checkout process."
