A Few Worthy Features, but Poor Remote Design
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Apr 14, 2005
The Sony CDP-CE375 is a five-disc carousel changer capable of playing audio, CD-R, and CD-RW CDs. The changer features repeat, play exchange, track scan, fade, 32-track programmable memory, and the ability to correct volume levels by scanning songs for loud sections. The LCD displays a 20-track "music calendar" that lists tracks on the disc that have been played and remain in queue. Connectivity options include analog outputs (RCA and fixed/variable), digital output, and headphone jacks. One major drawback to the CDP-CE375 is that it occasionally has trouble loading and recognizing CDs. Though to casual users it may not pose as such a major flaw, regular users will find it irritating to constantly open and close the carousel for the changer to recognize the CD. One main design flaw resides with the remote, as it has no On/Off button. Overall the CDP-CE375 is a basic five-disc changer that has all the standard CD changer features. Though users may experience skipping and loading issues with other changers, the lack of an On/Off button on the remote may be a reason for some to not purchase this unit at all.
