Samsung does think things thru for upcoming HDTV; interaction of your set top box, as well as producing good quality recordings and playback.
More and more there are copyright built-ins, but this does address copying one copy allowed (by your cable or SAT provider) and how to at least get a copy for yourself. Also the unit offers HDMI out to your TV, or Component and again Samsung describes protocol for various resolutions.
A nice combo with newly advanced variety of discs to record on.
A good choice in systems which covers it all.
