I got my Samsung FPT5884 2 weeks ago. First, let me say awesome picture! With HD cable, the picture quality is astounding...very bright screen and vibrant colors. The PQ is just OK when viewing SD channels. I've got this enormous plasma mounted on the wall and the set itself looks gorgeous even before turning it on. I use surround sound, so can't say much about the audio. I tested it out of the box and noted that at 50% volume, it was loud enough to be uncomfortable. Can't imagine if you really cranked it up. Glare might be an issue if you have a lot of lighting where the TV sits. My living room is kept fairly dim, so no issues for me. This Samsung plasma comes with a lot of anti-burn in features that are useful. When I looked carefully after using the set for a couple of weeks, I noticed some minor burn-in...though the anti-burn-in feature cleared this right up. Overall, I couldn't find anything I didn't absolutely love about this TV, other than the online company I purchased it from. For a TV this size, the price is very reasonable. I would recommend this unit to anyone!
