If your looking in this price range, your like me, and you can't afford the 2500 step up, but you don't wanna spend 900-1000 on the cheaper ones! This is a great tv for the value and scored great consumer reports, but you need an HD source. The analogue signal is not great, so stick with the tube tv if your watching strictly analogue. But the digital and hd stuff is great. You can't beat the picture quality of a nice hd program... I watch ones I don't really like just because of the picture! I am worried about BURN IN, but haven't seen noticed anything of the sort on it thus far, and we've had it for about 2 wks. I haven't had the opportunity to play HD gaming yet, but have heard its spectacular on this tv cuz has a game mode. The only downfall from this tv is the sound... not fabulous, so I'm going to try to get it hooked up to my receiver / external speakers. Stretching regular digital (non-hd) programs isn't as bad as I thought it would be either, the quality is still decent, and the heads don't look sqished/stretched. I don't like that there is only video1/2, incase I want to hook up other things either. But all in all, we researched consumer reports and quality, and are very happy with our purchase!
