Good for regular fresh snow, bad for wet dense snow.

Good for regular fresh snow, bad for wet dense snow.I've owned a snow joe for almost a year now and have used it approximately 7 times now for the clearing of our drive way.I've had to change the belt approximately 3 times so far. The belt is easy to replace. I'm thinking that I'll ordered 3 the next time I place an order for belts. The device does what it is suppose to do. If the snow is fresh then you won't have many problems, but it does have problems either when the belt is nearing the end of it's life, or when the snow is more of a slush. If the snow is wet or dense, (like at the end of the driveway where the snow plow just went by), then you will find yourself having to either clear the primary tube often and only being able to shave off 2-3 inches per pass, depending on depth of course (say about 5 inches in depth). The safety bar never worked correctly for me. It normally keeps running after release but I usually just pull the plug. Yes, even after a few weeks have gone by it starts just when plugged in, and I'm not holding anything. You get what you pay for, just always keep one eye on it.
