"So I filed a claim for water damage, the phone and I slipped and fell into a river while fishing. I purchased the ADH coverage but the claim was denied. Word to the wise avoid them."

"Absoluty do not use them! I filed a claim for a camera that was only three months old. Filed the claim on-line and reveived a response within a second. Sorry we can't help you. I own three warranties by them. My first claim. I will NEVER spend another dime for square trade. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!"

"Horrible communication, long shipping times, did I say TERRIBLE communication? Won't answer emails, won't send emails, long wait for their "return kit". I was not impressed."

"do NOT buy this warranty.They are not open on the weekend. They will not cover any claim that MAY be covered by the manufacture of the item. Very poor customer service."

"Purchased a SquareTrade "warranty" for an Apple MacBook whose hard drive crashed early in the warranty period. Filed claim but no response for several days. Daughter needed the laptop for school work, so i bought and replaced the hard drive myself. Cancelled my warranty. Service unacceptable."

"I had nothing but roadblocks and problems when I attempted to file a warranty claim.
Customer Service is rude and confrontational.
I would not use this service again."

"This company sold me a warranty and now are refusing to follow through because the phone was damaged when it came in. What did I pay for if they will not help refund or fix my purchase? The fact of the matter is that the phone did work, just only when it was plugged in. So now I have paid the initial money for the phone, the money for this worthless warranty, and extra money on a battery and charger. Do not expect to recieve any business from my family in the future. You should at least refund my warranty purchase. So thank you for wasting my money and time and not being of any use at all. Companies like yours are why we rarely buy extended warranties, thank you for proving us right and teaching us this lesson. Please take us off your mailling list, and be assured we will tell everyone we know about our experience with your company."

"What a ripoff. Square Trade denied a claim based on a cosmetic defect that the item arrived with. Do you want to be cheated? Buy one of their warranties.

"These guys will not cover anything! Don't be fooled by there own press and statements. They will try to make every claim a damage. I have a small scratch on a cell phone and they think it is causing a system failure. I have a letter from a trained tech stating no way this is a cause and it is a hard drive problem. I also have a friend with the same dealon a tv. They DON'T COVER ANYTHING THE ORIGINAL WARRANTY IS NOT COVERING, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!"

"i had purchased a digital camera about 6 months ago from e-bay and thought this was a great opportunity for a bit of extra coverage. Recently i had put a claim though for my digital camera and i was told i would have a refund in about a week that was on December 22nd. I maied out the box on the 24th and they did not recieve it until January the 6th. I had contacted them to find out how this would work as they had said about a week. When they recieved the camera it was processed in about a day and then I recieved a e-mail telling e my claim was approved. After that i had recieved another e-mail they told me that i would have the refund for the camera in my paypal account. On the morning of january the 9th i had contacted squaretrade to find out when the refund would be in my account the had told me that it would be there on the january the 9th by there closing time which would have been 6 pm there time (9pm my time). I think that it is great as a warrenty. I am very upset to the fact still nothing. i might never try a warrenty through this company again it is not worth the time a effort to call and find out where something is when it is not there. They should also do as they say it is going to be done as still no refund and it is past the time it is suppose to be there. "

"I purchased a laptop with a Square Trade warranty. I returned it for service. They could never fix it. I could not recommend this warranty."

"Purchased new Dacor Built-in Coffee System and Square Trade Warranty. Two months after 1 yr factory warranty expired we are now dealing with trying to get the item repaired using our extended warranty.
I'll give them an E for effort but a D- on getting it repaired. Its been a month and two service calls later and I'm still with out the use of my appliance and no idea if and when it will be fixed. Now they want to try to get Dacor to provide the parts under the original expired factory warranty, and I'm caught in the middle. The customer service reps don't seem to feel any sense of urgency on getting the item repaired, guess they don't drink coffee..... Poor overall communication on status of claim and do not return calls when they say they will.
Do your self a favor and save yourself from the headaches and buy the extended FACTORY warranty for any large item that is serviced in your home. I think that SquareTrade does an ok job for the small stuff, but they are out of ther league when it comes to major appliances. It may cost more but you won't have to deal with a third party."

Dealing with SquareTrade/Banker's Warranty Group is easily the absolute worst experience I've been through regarding a warranty. It was for an external hard drive. It broke, and after I called, they said someone would return my call in 24-48 hours. No call. I called back a week later, and then they said AGAIN someone would call back in 24-48 hours. No call. The 3rd time I finally got instructions to send the hard drive in and I'd receive a call in 2-3 weeks. No call. I called and they said somebody would call me back within 24-48 hours. You get the picture. That happened another two times. What's funny, is my biggest problem is that they agreed to send me a check for a $70 check if I VOID the warranty contract with them. 6 weeks later... no check. I personally requested to talk to a manager and she was very helpful and now the check is being "expedited". Anyway, this is possibly a huge scam. And months after I thought this was taken care of, I still have no warranty compensation."

"Bought the warranty, sent my phone in with a bad LCD and they claimed it was cracked / because of pressure. This is the second time I've had this kind of error with the phone - the individual I purchased it from had no problem switching it out, but for some reason these people did (even though I know the screen was not cracked). Tried to swindle $90 out of me to fix it, which I of course rejected. STAY AWAY."

"I am very dissapointed and will never purchase another waranty as it was worthless! I bought a dvd player and a waranty to cover it. The dvd failed and called to find where to take it for service. I was told to send it to NY. at my expence to determine if the parts were covered. I live in CO. And would have to pay to get it back also, about twice what I paid for the dvd. Why is there not a rep in each state to handle thier waranties and a dealer that can fix items?? Though the purchase price was fair, they have made useing thier warranty so expencive that no one will clame, thus I believe they profit. Very discusted with square trade!!"

"They would not replace my MP3 player because they said there was a crack in the screen. They must have been using an electron microsocope to see it because no one I knew could see where the crack was, nor could I. The last warranty company I used with an MP3 player was N.E.W and they replaced my sons MP3 player even when I could see a crack in the screen.
It took weeks to get an answer and then then closed the claim without getting in touch with me.
NEVER again with Square Trade."

"To start on a good note, I did get my claim finally paid out on my cell phone in the end. What rates SquareTrade below average was the immense effort I had to go through in order to get my claim. In fact I had to use my lawyer to go through the warranty contract and prove that my phone was covered. Buyers beware! Claim representatives are trained to deny claims and attempt to misrepresent the contract to deny you. That is the only way I can see them make money."

"Site features don't work, such as the "manage my warranties" link. I can't transfer a warranty because there is no "pull down" lists with that option or any link anywhere to do after I sign in. Also, the site's email was not functioning when I went to report this. And they won't do anything about it because they aren't open on the weekend."
