"...Pros: Can place the unit up to 60m from the source (limited by POE not network communication).
Weather proofSimple setup Cons: Did not notice the 60m limit on POE in the quick setup guide Other Thoughts: Used this at a customer installation to get wireless to a guest house 800' from the house. Was able to place the TP Link at the full 60m limit and got 3 of 4 bars connection on a laptop inside the guest house - not by a window.... See more

Pros: EXACTLY as advertised.
"...Pros: EXACTLY as advertised. I've worked with a variety of WiFi equipment over the years, and frankly the coverage distance and area of this thing are crazy good, especially for the price.
If you're looking for something to push through a strong WiFi signal across a good distance outdoors, this is what you want. Stop looking, you found it.... See more

Pros: First off, POE is an amazing thing.
"...I'd have liked to see better hardware come standard for mounting it, something to the akin of muffler clamps maybe? Also, add some rubber feet to those mounts so they don't slide down the pole.
Other Thoughts: Anyone that has issues connecting any device other than win 7: Go to the internal setup page, change your wireless security settings to WPA-PSK/WPA2-PSK, auto everything. I have 1 Mac, 4 android devices (2 cells and 2 tablets), my Wii, and 2 win 7 devices connected and no problems at all.... See more

Pros: Its small, it has a decent feature set.
"...First off I can not connect with anything except Windows 7 computers. (Windows XP, Mac, iPhone, Android Phones, etc...
will see it but won't connect; even with WEP/WPA/WPA2 disabled.) I have worked with TP-Link's tech support; a nice Asian lady answered the phone, but she obviously did not have much technical knowledge; but I did what she said just in case I missed something. She was not able to fix my issue and she claimed they don't have a second level support.... See more |
