"I got ripped off for $50 after I found out the web page was misleading and canceled the order. This order was for only $120 I was even charged for shipping charges that never happened,,,,SEARCH AGAIN OR GET RIPPED!!!!!"

"I just have to cancel my order with TVCITY.
I had purchased a DVD Blu-ray-Sony BDPS and pay extra for a 2 business day delivery. A week later I never got it neither any updates from them. I have called them a few times and experienced a really bad customer service with different information each call. It ended up that they are out of stock and they omitted this information at the moment I ordered it. I¿m truly disappointed. kshs

"I ordered a tv stand on their website which stated it would ship in 1-2 business days. After two weeks I called to get status on my order. They told me something about their truck being in Canada. It didn't make sense, but they asked that I wait another week so I waited. After the week, I still didn't receive my stand and called again. They said it MAY ship by the end of the week. I was tired of this game so I wanted to cancel, but he wouldn't let me! The guy I spoke to said to call back in a couple days and if it still didn't ship, I could cancel. Well, no surprise that it didn't ship. I finally canceled my order. What a waste of time! Don't do business with them! "

"I ordered a Subwoofer on 12/12/07 and they shipped on 12/18/07 so im expecting to recieve the Subwoofer at 12/21/07 in there site appear as 1-2 Business Day! for me is 9 day and is not sure yet and the CS never answered TVcity.TV"

"Do not do business with them! I was tempted by the cheaper price and the option to return the TV should we change our mind! Little I knew¿I called to verify the terms of return and was told by Frank that it would be faster for me if we process the order over the phone. Since I wanted our new 37¿ TV shipped to me fast (hey, who wouldn¿t, right?) I agreed. I never received a confirmation email. I called the following day t find out that Frank did ship my TV via FedEx but do not have the track number handy. He promised he will email me an order confirmation and asked me to call on Monday for my tracking number. Monday came and the manager said that the warehouse is out on lunch (11am!) and he cannot get me the UPS tracking number. I asked if it was FedEx, he said he cannot be bothered with the small details of shipping, I should call tomorrow. Tuesday came and I talked to Frank. He processed the order on Friday but it is the warehouse that could not find the track number and really why am I calling all the time, they are known for an excellent customer number. He promised I did not need an order confirmation via email and that my TV should be here Wednesday. Wednesday morning and I call again. Since my Amex was charged the previous Friday I thought getting the tracking number and the shipping company should be simple. I have now spoken to 3 different people. Each was less pleasant the other. Each gave me a different shipping company (FedEx, UPS and DHL). Each gave me a different story as to why they cannot provide me with the information. Oh and they finally emailed me my order confirmation and my zip code is all wrong¿now they claimed it is my fault for not letting them know sooner.
We are disputing the charges! Do not wait your time and money! Pay more and buy it from your local store¿

"4 days after ordering a TV it hadn't been shipped. I requested to cancel and was given a very hard time. I found they charged my credit card "after" I requested the cancellation and charged the card an "additional" $80."

"Ended up NOT purchasing a Sony receiver
from TVCity. When I got to the final
checkout screen there 'magically'
appeared a charge of over $9
for "insurance/fuel surcharge" that WAS
NOT indicated anywhere else on their
website. Up to that point they did
have the best deal on the 'net, but not
after that charge was tacked on. I
ended up buying from another online
source savings several dollars off of
the TVCity true price. My advice:
Watchout!"

"I placed an order last wednesday. Its
been a week and they still havent
shipped my order, though I had called
them before placing the order, and they
had assured me that they would ship the
order the next day. They charged my
credit card the same day, although their
policy says that they wouldnt charge the
card till order is shipped. Looks dicey
to me. They have been giving me all
sorts of excuses. Please be careful
while placing an order with them. I am
thinking of reporting to the credit card
company if I dont get a shipping
confirmation soon. "

"Bought Sony 400 DVD changer for great
price. Paid 2 day shipping. However,
unit got shipped ground 3 days later and
I got charged nore than the 2 day ship
price. So Watch out"

"ordered a Sony 55" television on
Monday 1/10/05 and was told it would
be shipped Wed 1/12, I was called on
Thurs 1/13 and told it had been
shipped and would get a confirm email
w/track number and could expect the
set by the following Mon/Tuesday. Not
only did the set not come but neither
did the confirmation. Concern I called,
was told there had been an error, my
set had been sent out to another
customer that had complained so they
gave it to him. So far mildly pissed
off but make the best of it, now told
he would take care of this first thing
Wednesday 1/19/05 and again email me a
confirm, admitting my product had never
been shipped, nobody had even noticed
and yes they had charged my card $3000
6 days prior. Wed comes and again no
email, now very pissed, called and
again spoke with Rodney who apparently
is the decision maker. He gave me a
confirmation number for a trucking co.
they use to track the delivery, was
told it has been sent. Went to the
trucking web site and ran track number,
showed it had been shipped and would be
in my state the very next day. Called
the trucking company to set up
delivery, was told to call Thursday
morning to verify they had it. Called
Thurs morning only to be told they did
not even have it in their possession in
NY that the shipment had been "EBilled"
and that this vendor frequently tells
customers they have shipped items but
in fact the items are delivered by
NICEBuys to them and they cannot ship
it till they have it,once they have it,
next day delivery. I called back,
Rodney said he did not want to discuss
this any longer, I had to be
patient "trust"him after at least 6
times I was misinformed. It is now 3PM
Thursday and still the trucking company
does not have the package to ship and
talking to NiceBuys or TV City which
ever one they are today is a total
waste of my time. "

"I ordered a Sony Home Theater system
from TV City on Dec. 15. Even though
when I ordered it, it was supposedly
in stock, I received an email that
said it was backordered. I emailed
them again and again to ask how long
it would be and received no answer. I
finally cancelled my order and got the
item shipped from another company in
12 hours. I will not order from them
again. "

"I placed an order for a remote control
a week before Christmas and requested
the 2 day delivery for a rediculous
$35. Keep in mind this is a remote I
am ordering here, so $35 for 2-day is
already pretty expensive. After 2
days I still had not so much as
recieved an email confirmation for the
order, so naturally I called TvCity.
When I asked what the status of my
order was, I was told the item I
ordered was out of stock b/c it was
last year's model. No problem. When
I asked what the replacement model was
the price came out to be only $15
dollars more, again not a big
problem. When I asked if there was
any way I could get overnight or 2 day
shipping for the cost of ground I was
told "no, because overnight costs
$50." I understand web based
companies rely on shipping to add to
their bottom line, but in a case where
the seller dropped the ball there
should be room for exception. These
guys clearly did not care whether or
not I bought from them on a low priced
item which speaks volumes for their
commitment to customer service. Do
yourself a favor and buy from someone
who does."

"This company has a great scam!! Be
leary of the shipping charges added to
any item. I was buying a portable dvd
player and the shipping for one brand
was $12 and the other was $56. I
called the company and was told that
their internet price is set to show the
least expensive price in the market.
They then increase the shipping charges
inorder to make money. Great Scam!!!
