"My order was delivered promptly, matched the seller's description, and was a good value. I did not see any way to track the order in transit, and the seller did not send an email when the product shipped as the seller's web site said it would do."
"I gave these guys 3 stars which denotes
average as what I encountered seems to
be average practice for discount
electronics stores on the internet.
From reading other reviews, I felt it
necessary to call instead of handle my
transaction over the internet, which
kind of defeats the purpose but then I
didn't create this situation. I am
looking for a Sony KDS-60A2000. When I
called they have one in stock. I
comfirmed the price as mentioned on the
web. They confirmed shipping at $299.
But then here comes the kicker, there
is an additional $99 in insurance and
fuel surcharge. Of course this is not
something listed when you purchase from
the website. It's this kind of
dishonesty that makes people run to the
more establised, albeit more expensive
sites."
"In short, the first tv that TV City
sent me came within only a few days of
ordering it online, however it was
severely damaged (internally). I
truely thought they werre trying to
rip me off, but I came to realize it
probably was damaged in shipping and
was outside the control of TV City. In
the end, TV City did end up sending me
a replacement tv, but it took almost
six weeks. During this whole process,
I had to call TV City, Sony, a local
Sony repair shop and my credit card
company. The replacement tv does work
very well, and I am happy with it, but
to be honest, I don't think I would
order a tv online again, if I needed
to. It's just not worth the stress. I
realize only a small percentage of
goods are damaged in shipping, but if
it happens to you, it can be a very
stressful and trying time. Had the
first tv worked well, I would have
given TV City an excellent grade,
however based on my experience, I can
only give them an average at best."
