It's all about numbers and it is now our responsibilty as consumers to take charge and plant that seed to remind them who we are...Remember we have the BBB on our side and trust me, you mention that to a supervisor it will get their attention. On a happier note, HD seems to have better/reasonable pricing (I paid $4 more per closet bracket(a total of 12 were needed) than Lowes). I recommend doing the research prior to going to your local store. HD will be my first choice for home improvement projects."

"I don't often write reviews, but when credit is due to great service it should not go unnoticed. I live in a remote town in Maine referred to as Down East. I did alot of remodeling and was driving back and forth to Home Depot about 1 hour and forty five minutes one way. I worked with the windows department and many others including managers, when I experienced a window problem at Home Depot, they all went out of their way and delivered them to my home at no delivery cost. This was great customer service. I also painted my whole house and garage, with their Ultra Premium paint which was used on my vinyl siding. Having spending 28 years in customer service myself, I can appreciate the good service extended to me by Home Depot. "

"I have ordered over 10 pieces of Volo patio furniture from Home Depot via their online store. The furniture was delivered promptly and the quality is impressive. Two pieces were damaged in transit and were returned without incident. Home Depot demonstrated a high level of customer service and support throughout the order and return process. "Home Deposit just opened up a branch here in Central Plano. The store is HUGE (as most are these days), and over staffed. Yes overstaffed. That is because that store is poorly advertised, a terrible location for visibility reasons, and promoted poorly. I walked in and had 8 people waiting on me, yes 8. Granted this is the slow time of the year (2 days prior to xmas) for depot and like businesses, it was a fantastic experience to have that many people helping me out (not at once, but during the entire exploration of purchasing a lawn mower). Gary the guy in Lawn and Garden was a little short on the phone when I called prior to the visit to ensure item I was interested was indeed in stock. However upon meeting him, he was cordial and friendly (maybe he should work on his phone skills a bit). In all I was happy with the time in and out. I spent 450 USD there, and felt it was a good price for the mower, and a good overall experience with Gary and his collegues. I suspect most of this happiness was due to the slow business cycle, and also it being close to closing time for the night. Average to Above Average experience. Most Home Depots are not like this, they are usually understaffed in a big way."

"I worked with Home Depot to remodel my spare bathroom. They staff was extremely friendly and helped me every step of the way. I spent about 3,000 and it was worth every penny. I did require some help with the tile floor and they worked with me to get a good contractor to install the flooring. The experience was excellent."

I've never returned more than 4 items at any one time, but it's been no problem. We just bought a new washer and dryer...delivery was when it was supposed to be, and was courteous and professional. We just recently had a Lowes open up nearby, and I've shopped there, but many of their items (bags of sand, most recently) are considerably more expensive."
