Arabian Coffee from the New York City Ballet Collection

Arabian Coffee from the New York City Ballet Collection

Arabian Coffee wears an exotic two-piece costume of satin, and lam trimmed in fringe and accents. This dressed doll includes beaded lam headpiece, finger cymbals, beaded anklets, slippers (slippers will be produced in gold satin), and display stand. Arabian Coffee is a limited edition of 500. In celebration of its sponsorship of the 2006 Nutcracker Family Benefit supporting New York City Ballet and its official school, the School of American Ballet, Tonner Dolls is proud to present Robert Tonner's first collaboration with New York City Ballet to bring you exquisite ballerina dolls of exception design and articulated movement. Designs in this collection are based upon and inspired by the original costumes of New York City Ballet's production of George Balanchine's The Nutcracker, designed by Karinska. The NYCB dolls are approximately 16" tall with multiple articulated joints, including bending wrists. Dolls are sculpted with stationary 'en pointe' feet and they feature a smaller bustline than traditional Tyler-style 16" fashion dolls. Please note that not all Tyler-style 16" outfits will fit the Ballet-style doll at the bustline. This bustline is also used in the Geisha dolls and Cinderella's Wicked Stepsister, Euphemia. Currently, the 'Emilie' head sculpt is used on all 16" dolls in the NYCB collection. In addition, please note the Emilie character in the Tyler Wentworth collection is made with the Tyler-style bustline; and it is not the same body type as those presented in the NYCB ballet doll collection.
