"We were charged extra after receiving a quote due to a deadline that was missed internally. When speaking with customer service, it seemed at first they were loud, defensive and arguementative and later after reading their internal computer notes, became apologetic. Still we were charged additional fees based on the warehouse location which doesn't seem fair. The entire process dragging on and on through emails from 11 in the morning until after 330 pm. Very unsatisfactory service."

"I placed an order that upon arrival was not what I expected. After an email and two phone calls, I finally received their "Return Authorization Number". I was to receive a "merchandise credit", and pay the shipping to return the item. The item was returned to them and received over three weeks ago. I have sent emails and talked to three different customer service representatives. I still have no credit! Will not use this company again!"

"I can not believe that is costs 11.99 to ship an item that costs 7.57. That is crazy. I am purchasing an item that is $7.57 with the handing and shiping I am pay over $20. Since I have a credit I am using it but had I not had a credit you would not be getting my business."

"Despite being a good site with good prices and selection, be prepared for endless frustrating arguments with their customer support if something goes wrong. In my case two problems: 1) an item was not available, although it shows on the site as available. They charged me and a month later I have still not received full refund. 2) they shipped wrong quantity of a second item and it took hours on the phone to get it right."

"This is one of those companies that intentionally lowers prices on products to entice customers but charges an arm and a leg on handling and shipping charges. I would never buy anything from such a company."

"HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. PLACED ORDER - SEVERAL DAYS LATER NOTIFIED WAS BACK-ORDERED FOR 2-4 WEEKS. CANCELLED ORDER - 3 WEEKS LATER, STILL NO RESPONSE, NO REFUND. FRAUDS. THIEVES."

"I ordered a product from WaresDirect and after a week had not received any conformation from them or shipping info. I called customer service on October 17th and find out that the product had been discontinued. I then noticed a few days later they had already charged my credit card on October 10th. The conformation email I asked them to send regarding my inquiry stated that they had submitted my order to their accounting department for a refund. It is now November 6th and I have called WaresDirect twice on the refund. I was told last week I would have the refund in a couple of days which didn't happen. I left them a voice mail message on the second call. I still have not heard back from them. My bank is now handling the problem."

"ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC. DON'T ORDER A THING FROM THEM. THEY WAIT 5 DAYS TO TELL ME 2 ITEMS MUST BE ORDERED IN QUANTITIES OF 12 AND THEN CAN'T TELL ME WHEN MY ORDER WILL SHIP. THEY DON'T RESPOND TO EMAIL. ORDER FROM HUBERT.COM. CHEAPER AND FASTER. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN. HERE'S WHAT THEY TOLD ME AFTER 5 DAYS: 4/11/2007 Dear Customer, We have been notified by our warehouse that two of the items you ordered now have to be purchased in quantities of 12 and are not sold as 1 EA anymore. The two products are RFSCWC1 and RFSCW1. Please let us know if you would like to purchase the additional quantities of those two items or if you would like us to ship your order without those items. Obviously you would receive a refund for those items. If you have any questions please give us a call at 678-810-0791. Thank you, Customer Service THEY STILL HAVE NOT TOLD ME WHEN MY ORDER WILL SHIP AND I ORDERED ON THE 7TH AND IT IS NOW THE 12TH."

Response from WaresDirect: "You order was placed on 4/7 SATURDAY when our offices were closed for the weekend. First thing Monday we emailed you with the discrepancy, 4/9. You did not reply to us until two days later, 4/11. You replyed kindly to us at that time, asking us to place your order minus the items with the discrepancy. Below is the response to us on the 11th: 4/11/2007 3:37:43 PM customer emailed...Please ship without the 2 items. Thanks, matt. We replaced your order as you requested with shipping scheduled for the next day 4/12. On that same exact day as we were preparing to ship, you left this feedback - - almost as if two different people were responding to us. We just do not understand. Only 5 days after order placement, and with continuous contact and response from us, and, with a weekend thrown in there, and we stand behind our level of focus and service to you and are shocked by your dual response within the same 24 hour period. "They took my order promising shipping in 3-4 days. Then they told they shipped my order. Turns out they didn't send me the stuff I ordered, only the free pens. They didn't have it in stock. And they had charged my credit card for a product they didn't have. Now it is going to take them a couple of weeks to credit my credit card. So they get the float and make money on selling me something the didn't have."

Response from WaresDirect: "Sending the free product at no charge is our way of saying we are sorry for the other product being discontinued. Your refund, as refunds to all of our customers will be immediately forthcoming. Please enjoy the free product on us and we hope you will give us another chance one day. "Web site is broken - especially in the shoping cart. Couldn't choose the free gifts offered. Couldn't go back and remove specific items from my shopping basket. Bad shopping experience."

"Like others who have written reviews I too liked to prices until I went to check out. The cost for shipping is way out of this world. Granted I live in Hawaii and for some strange reason no one wanted to ship a lousy little 9¿ fan from the mainland to Hawaii, except for these guys. I often wonder what is in it for some of these companies to ship products. The cost of the item that I purchased was only $19.31 however shipping was $28.35. I recently ordered books from a college in New York (weighing 2 ¿ 3 times as much as this fan) and only cost me $15.00 for shipping! I know that I will have to reconsider about purchasing from these guys in the future!"

Response from WaresDirect: "We have tried everything with our warehouses to ship cheaper to HI, but we just cannot get the price down. HI is a mandatory 2 day air as the cheapest method and still insure the delivery. We are sorry for those living in HI, but this is not a problem with our store but with all purchases that will need to ship from the US mainland with insured delivery. "Prices look good until you get to checkout where you find out how exorbident shipping is. Also a handling charge! I paid $10.50 for shipping and handling on $15.00 worth of small labels. This is way too much to pay to ship from Georgia to Florida (ground). The only reason I bought them is because they are the only place I can find these labels. BEWARE!"

"I found what I wanted at what I calculated to be a good/fair price. No where along the way was there any option to click to find out what shipping would cost. Having done a lot of shopping online, I did not think it could be that much. It turns out to be way over 50% of the cost of the product!!! That changes the cost analysis and where I may have ordered it from drastically. I really cannot recommend this site for the average online shopping. I want the product ordered, and now am stuck with the excessive handling and shipping charges, but rest assured, I will shop on a different web site for the same product the next time!!!"
