In the 2 1/2 years I've owned my Sony 70" XBR I've replaced the bulb twice. The original Sony bulb became dim after about 4000 hours. The manual said it would do this in 2000 hours. When I replaced it, the TV brighened up like it was new again. The Laptops for Less after market bulb was dim like an old Sony bulb when it was new, and it burned out after 60 hours. To their credit, they did refund my money. Spend the extra $50 bucks on the Sony. You'll be glad you did.

Replacement lamp came with complete instructions on how to properly install. Product was packaged extremely well to protect integrity ofthe lamp during shipping.

I purchased this in 10/06, replaced again 11/06. Merchant did credit back for replacement. 1/07 new lamp went out again.
