The Xerox DocuMate 252 Scanner is a compact and effective hi-speed scanner ideal for workgroups and other decentralized scanning applications. It scans directly to text-searchable PDF and converts electronic and paper documents into text-searchable PDF files. This fast duplex sheetfed scanner has an approximate 50-page Automatic Document Feeder that scans approximately up to 50 images per minute (ipm) using dual CCDs. It features a 600x1200 dpi optical resolution, a Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interface and scans everything from business cards and photos up to legal-sized documents. The DocuMate 252 comes bundled with software including Kofax VRS 2.1, Pixel Translations QuickScan 3.0, ScanSoft PaperPort Pro 9 Office and OmniPage Pro 12.

Having killed 3 other scanners of various manufacturers, we happened upon the Xerox Documate. The quality, speed and ease of use cannot be beat - and the price was lower than those we had used previously. Overall, best value
