handy, but a line hog
Review From: burndog, Aug 17, 2006
I rec'd it for fathers day and love that there is no more cord, however it is hard to really see where you are trimming, which can be bad if you are looking for a manicured look. The worst thing about it is the auto advance feed for the line. I go through a complete reel (60 feet)in about 3 uses. My old electric with tap and go would be good for most of the season. The line cutter built into the guard has come off and I am having a tough time contacting B&D through their website. All in all it is handy to use...so much nicer than hauling a cord. I have a large yard with lots of trimming and can do it all in one charge. (about 30 minutes of actual trimming time) no need for a second battery, I just leave it in the charger and it is always ready to go.
