Great Digital SLR, Great Price, Perfect for Advanced Amateurs/Professionals
Review From: NexTag Editorial Review, Feb 24, 2005
This affordable digital SLR is lighter, faster, and smaller than its predecessor the EOS 10D. The camera features quick turn on, amazing shutter speed, high exposure quality, higher pixel count, and full and partial manual modes that result in crisp images. The EOS20D trumps its 6.3 megapixel predecessor with an 8.2 megapixel sensor size that allows you to use digital zoom and crop images without sacrificing picture quality and clarity. The camera features 12 different shooting modes and four different recording options including: JPEG, CR2 RAW, or RAW plus JPEG. The camera body is composed out of a lightweight and durable magnesium alloy and is ergonomically designed for a comfortable grip. The lens kit that comes w/ the body is not perhaps the best quality of Canon lens to use with this camera but the EOS20D is compatible with all Canon EF lenses. Perhaps the only way Canon could improve on this camera is to make the 1.8" LCD display a bit larger. Overall as an upgrade to the EOS 10D, this camera is well suited for advanced amateurs or professional photographers packed with features and minimal flaws.
