I did a lot of research, and was headed for an LCD when this Samsung 42" Plasma stopped me in my tracks. The Good:Picture Quality is fantastic. Just real juicy color. No LCD that we saw at the 6 retailers we shopped compared.Ease of Use:Easy to set up the TV, connections, and settings. Easy remote to use. Very impressed with the UI of the menus. I had read about all the burn in problems plasmas had and was skeptical about this TV. But so far, I've had no such problems. Not only does Samsung have some good built in anti-burn features (the inperceptible Pixel Shift is one), but here's what else I've done:- lowered the contrast and brightness settings to 45 instead of 100.- avoided black bars during the break in period- turned on pixel shift- broke the tv in, meaning used these settings for the first 100 hoursEveryone told me to go LCD, but we've been extremely happy with this model's vibrant picture quality. And what's a TV without good picture quality?
