The body housing on this hoist is sealed for protection from dirt, moisture, and harsh environmental conditions. This hoist has a standard count hour meter that tracks “lowering starts” and “on time” to help facilitate timely maintenance. The Harrington NER single speed electric chain hoist has a direct current (DC) electromagnetic brake that does not release unless the motor is energized. This hoist has a load sheave with deep-groove pockets to support the load chain, and help reduce vibration and chain wear; a chain guide made of heavy cast iron for durability, which can be removed without disassembly; and a grade 80 nickel-plated, heat-treated load chain for resistance to wear. The mount and load hooks are made of forged carbon steel and designed to resist fracture under stress, and the load hook swivels 360 degrees. It also has a friction clutch with carbon friction material for consistent hoist performance over the recommended temperature range of -4 degrees F to 104 degrees F, and humidity of 85 percent or less. Control voltage is 110V (optional 24V). This hoist is built to comply with American National Standards Institute /American Society for Mechanical Engineers (ANSI/ASME) B30.16 and HST-1M standards; and the American National Standards Institute/National Fire Protection Association (ANSI/NFPA) 70, National Electrical Code.
