PYOBEN Shampoo is an antimicrobial, keratolytic and follicular flushing shampoo specifically formulated for the topical treatment of deep cutaneous infection in dogs and cats. PYOBEN, using SPHERULITES and chitosanide, represents a breakthrough in skin care technology. SPHERULITES: an exclusive and patented encapsulation system developed by Allerderm, provides slow release of ingredients long after the shampoo is rinsed off. Chitosanide: a natural biopolymer creates a protective film on the skin and hair. This technology reinforces the hydrating and restoring properties of the formulation, helping to protect the skin against damage from the environment. USES: PYOBEN Shampoo is an antimicrobial, keratolytic and follicular flushing shampoo for use on dogs and cats of any age. CONTAINS: Benzoyl peroxide 3% in a shampoo base containing water, sodium C14-C16 olefin sulfonate, Spherulites, glycerin, citric acid, carbomer 940 and chitosanide. Chitosanide and glycerin are present in encapsulated (Spherulites) and free forms. Urea is present in encapsulated form. DIRECTIONS: Shake well before use. Wet the coat with warm water and apply sufficient shampoo to create a rich lather. Massage PYOBEN into wet coat, lather freely. Rinse and repeat. Allow to remain on hair for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse thoroughly with clean water. Frequency of use: initially two to three times a week for four weeks, then reducing to once a week, or as directed by your veterinarian. WARNING: Keep out of reach of children. CAUTION: Federal Law (USA) restricts this drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian. For external use only on dogs and cats. Avoid contact with eyes or mucous membranes. If condition persists or does not improve in 7 days, consult your veterinarian. Wash hands and exposed skin after using. May bleach colored fabric.
