Responsibilities:

• Identify and execute the optimum TV direct response schedule
• Prepare detailed TV recommendations and roll into an overall direct marketing plan
• Negotiate all television buys, overseeing the issuance of purchase orders, counts, shipping of files, etc ensuring all invoices are accurate and timely
• Identify, select and manage outside media resources to assist in the execution of direct response media buying efforts (i.e. DRTV buying service)
• Monitor and approve all media expenses
• Track, analyze, and optimize revenue and campaign responses on an on- going basis.
• Stay current with new TV inventory available; proactively inform account management and analytic services team partners of new media available and the pros and cons of those services;
• Assist in the acquisition of new tools or in-house development of custom systems
• Work with 3rd party suppliers to negotiate fair and equitable contracts

Job Requirements:

• Minimum of 7 years DRTV experience with an emphasis on direct response marketing
• Thorough understanding of direct marketing principals, techniques, research, direct response media (all channels), data, creative, printing, and analysis
• Experience working with database marketing and statistical methods
• Strong project management and time management skills
• High level of problem solving, organizational, and communication skills
• Excellent written and oral communication
• Strong negotiation, analytic, presentation and sales skills are a necessary part of this position.
• Comprehensive knowledge of DR media; primarily DRTV, direct response print and on-line.
• Knowledge of effective online direct response including Internet advertising, Web sponsorship and key word opportunities, and e-mail lists is desirable
