Overall responsibility:
The Senior Media Buyer position is responsible for hands-on revenue planning and direct response
online media buying for NexTag.com. This position is an integral member of NexTag's marketing
team that is focused upon developing media plans, executing the negotiation and purchasing of
online media at a profit to NexTag.
Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
- Accountable for revenue production, meeting/exceeding gross revenue and margin goals associated with media plans.
- Identify and negotiate cost-effective, scalable and targeted online media buys that provide qualified and profitable traffic to NexTag.com.
- Steward through each media deal within appropriate NexTag systems.
- Participate in media planning activities, providing thoughtful analysis in identifying new media properties that will drive profitable traffic to NexTag.
- Identify new online channels that can be profitably purchased to drive leads.
Specific Job Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- 4+ years experience in buying direct response online media.
- Track record of successful media buying using quantifiable direct marketing techniques.
- Experience in establishing, negotiating and developing media/vendor relationships.
- Must demonstrate an ability to aggressively prospect for new sources of traffic that drive revenues.
- Proficient at utilizing Nielsen NetRatings and AdRelevance applications, applying analysis results to plans that deliver profitable results.
- Has already established online media contacts within top tier publishers.
- Ability to multi-task in a faced paced environment with an attention to detail.
- BS/BA degree
